Aromatherapy and Sleep: So Fascinating You Can't Fall Asleep

蔡宛真 Aromatherapist; EMHA, Institute of Health Policy and Management, National Taiwan University College of Public Health

Can't sleep — is counting sheep really all you've got? What is the relationship between scent and how well we sleep?

Taipei Tagala Rotary Club invites aromatherapist 蔡宛真 to guide us from sleep science through olfactory training to daily ritual, exploring the real relationship between fragrance and sleep.

蔡宛真 holds an EMHA from the Institute of Health Policy and Management at NTU's College of Public Health. She has brought aromatherapy into public-health and community research, then translated that research into accessible science writing anyone can put into daily practice.

22 December falls on the winter solstice — attendees will also make a sleep-aid sachet to take home!

Topics we'll explore

  • What sleep science says about the relationship between scent and sleep
  • Does the sense of smell need training? Opening up your capacity for perception
  • Building a bedtime rhythm that works for you through scent and ritual
